Turtle Lake Water Levels

           Always a topic of discussion!

                Always a controversial issue!

The water levels in Turtle Lake have fluctuated over a range of 1.11 meters  since 1964.  After significant controversy and consultation the Saskatchewan Watershed Authority placed a weir at the South Bay outlet on April 25, 1986 and established the Full Supply Level (FSL) at 654.78 meters above sea level. This weir is still in place today at this level.
